BSP as a Service

Wholesale access to the Portuguese market.

For optimizers, traders and groups that have their own decision-making capability and need qualification and a balance perimeter in Portugal.

What sits with us

Perimeter, qualification and execution.

  • Balance perimeter and responsibility — the asset sits in our perimeter and settlement runs through it
  • BSP qualification — submission of units to REN and controllability tests
  • Control centre — telemetry, setpoint execution and response to activations
  • Records and reporting — whatever the operator and the regulator require
  • Market collateral — posted by us, against the partner’s counter-guarantee
What stays with the partner

The decision and the clients.

Dispatch decisions are entirely the partner’s: forecast, schedule, reserve, price. We send to the system what we are given, within the agreed operating limits.

End clients belong to the partner and remain so. We do not contact them, do not offer them services and have no commercial relationship with them. That separation is what makes the offer usable by anyone who also operates in the Portuguese market.

The data wall

Written down, not merely asserted.

Gesto Comercialização has within the group an optimisation company, wattimize, which buys this very service on the same terms. A partner is entitled to ask what stops that company from seeing their data.

The answer is a segregation protocol written into the contract: what we see by BSP obligation, what is segregated, who has access to what, and how it is audited. It is not a statement of intent — it is a clause.

Limits

Operating limits, collateral and suspension.

Taking the perimeter of assets steered by a third party’s algorithm has consequences for our own settlement. The service therefore has limits defined up front.

  • Operating limits — position and imbalance caps per unit and per period
  • Collateral — sized to volume and risk profile
  • Right of suspension — the ability to halt execution, exercised by rule rather than judgement
How it starts

A pilot, on a small perimeter.

The usual path is a framework agreement followed by a pilot over a limited number of units, with review after an agreed period. No serious partner transfers an entire portfolio without first seeing how it goes.
